Full job description

Job Description

Enterprise Telecom client is seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead to support cross-functional teams delivering large-scale digital, web, ecommerce, and government discount program initiatives. This individual will sit within the Project & Program Management organization and partner closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Engineering, Digital, Operations, and senior business stakeholders to drive disciplined Agile execution across complex initiatives. A key component of the role will be supporting programs that involve government discount and eligibility-based customer programs, requiring strong coordination across business, technology, operations, compliance, and external dependencies. The ideal candidate can bring structure to complex programs, proactively manage risks and dependencies, and keep teams moving when priorities or requirements change.

The Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead will serve as a servant leader and execution partner supporting cross-functional teams responsible for digital, ecommerce, web, and government discount program initiatives within the Verizon Value Organization. This individual will lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives while partnering with Product Owners and Project Managers to ensure teams have clearly defined priorities, properly refined backlogs, realistic commitments, and visibility into upcoming dependencies. For government discount programs, the Scrum Master will help coordinate initiatives involving eligibility and enrollment processes, customer journeys, system integrations, operational requirements, and compliance-driven dependencies. They will ensure requirements and dependencies are understood across teams and that issues impacting delivery are quickly identified, escalated, and driven toward resolution. The Scrum Master will proactively identify and remove impediments, partnering with Project Managers, Product Owners, technical leads, business stakeholders, and PMO leadership to manage risks and cross-functional dependencies. They will use Agile metrics including velocity, sprint burndown, capacity, and throughput to evaluate delivery health and provide concise updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and upcoming milestones. Beyond running ceremonies, this individual will be expected to bring delivery discipline and structure to complex initiatives, helping teams remain aligned to business priorities while continuously improving predictability, transparency, and execution.

Skills and Requirements

  • Proven Scrum Master experience supporting Agile teams delivering digital, web, or ecommerce solutions in an enterprise environment
  • Hands on experience with Agile tools, including Jira / Confluence (Asana familiarity a plus), used for backlog management, sprint tracking, and reporting
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to lead ceremonies and manage cross functional stakeholders confidently
  • Deep understanding of Agile / Scrum frameworks, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and velocity tracking
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification strongly preferred
