Job Description

As a Mixing Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the encapsulation machine and maintaining product quality through routine checks and adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Start and operate the encapsulation machine.

• Transfer raw materials into the hopper.

• Monitor machine cycle time and performance, making minor adjustments as needed.

• Conduct routine quality checks to ensure the product meets quality specifications.

• Operate an automated pulley system using a handheld device to move lids on and off equipment safely.

• Clean the machinery using long brushes and hoses, ensuring thorough rinsing and maintenance.

• Sweep up water and maintain cleanliness in the work area.

Essential Skills

• Previous machine operator experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

• Proficiency in using gauges, weight scales, and calipers to check machine settings and collect product specifications.

• Ability to accurately read and follow process procedures and protocols.

• Skills in recording data accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with capsule machines is preferred.

• Experience in nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industries is ideal.

• Familiarity with GMP and SOP is required.

• Must have experience in documentation and batch recording.

• Experience in setting up, tearing down, and performing light maintenance on machines is required.

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a production setting across four different rooms, involving mechanical and moving parts. Safety awareness is crucial due to the presence of noise, although it is generally not very loud

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jurupa Valley, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
