Description STATUS: Full time LOCATION: Canandaigua Ambulatory Center - 183 Parrish Street Canandaigua, NY 14424 DEPARTMENT: Imaging SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday; Days SUMMARY As a Radiologic Tech I, you assist radiologists with imaging procedures to ensure diagnostic quality and the maximum comfort and safety of patients who undergo procedures. ATTRIBUTES Excellent patient service skills Critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision Exceptional documentation/computer skills and professional behavior RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for radiography of patients in all assigned areas. Maintains accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts. Maintains accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and in patient charts as necessary. Cleans, restocks, and prepares rooms on a daily basis. Attends hospital and departmental meetings and in-services. Practices and is held accountable for excellent customer service behaviors. Provides on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology. Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 2 years of college certificate or equivalent. New Graduate Requirements: Official transcript from an accredited school or letter emailed directly from the school's registrar's office confirming program completion will be accepted upon graduation. Primary source education verification required within 90 days of start date. Required Licensure/Certification: NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire. If licensed after 2007, must obtain American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification (ARRT) within 1 year of hire. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS BLS Certification Radiologic Technologist experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20-50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. PAY RANGE: $28.75 - $38.75 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
