Performs FVL, FVC, Lung Volumes, DLCO, MVV as required. Checks and validates physician order for testing procedure. * Performs Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing. * Maintains testing equipment. Generates appropriate paperwork to permit the interpretation of Pulmonary Function tests. * Performs Methacholine Challenges. Efficiently schedules patients. Reviews schedule with Pharmacy to insure optimal utilization of Provocholine.Minimum Qualifications: * Associate's Degree or equivalent in respiratory care as recognized by the New York State Board for Respiratory Therapy, required. * New York State Registered Respiratory Therapist license or Respiratory Therapist Technician license,certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT), with CPFT specialty credential within a year of hire, required. * Computer competency, including basic understanding of, and ability to work with, Microsoft Windows based pulmonary function software programs. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Required Licenses: Cert Pulmon Func Tech (CPFT), Respiratory Therapy Tech-NYS, Resp Thrpst License-NYS, Natl Respiratory Therapy RegQualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Grossman School of Medicine provides its staff with far more than just a place to work.
