Registered Nurse (RN) – Gouverneur, NY

**Local Pay: $50.00/hour **

Shift Details:

  • The shifts would primarily be 6a-2p, 2p-10p & 10p-6a.

  • 8 hour shift, with 2-15 minute breaks built in.

  • This position would also require weekends and holidays.

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To provide professional nursing services to include emergency care, chronic care and assessment for mental health care to a challenging incarcerated individual population.

  • Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

  • Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.

  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.

  • Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

**Minimum Qualifications **

  • Minimum of one (1) year/sof recent experience as an RN.

  • Must have a current and valid NYS license

  • Minimum, one full year of medical/surgical, Emergency Room or ICU,CCU hospital Nursing.

  • Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
