Full job description

Launch Your Software Career — Paid Training, Real Client Placement

At SkillStorm, launching technology careers isthe business. We develop software talent for Fortune 100 enterprises and U.S. government agencies, and we're looking for early-career technologists ready to make that leap.

How It Works

▸ Weeks 1–12:Paid, hands-on training on real, team-based projects

▸ Deployment:Go straight to an enterprise or government client, productive from day one

▸ The difference:You're an employee earning a paycheck, not a student paying tuition. It's a defined path from "qualified" to "deployed professional."

Who We're Looking For

This program is designed for people at the start of their technical careers who have the fundamentals, the motivation, and a desire for a structured route into enterprise software. That includes recent graduates, career changers with a technical background, and transitioning service members and veterans.

Minimum Qualifications:

→ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a closely related technical field

→ At least 1 year of technical work experience

Working knowledge of core programming concepts: data structures, algorithms, databases and SQL, and object-oriented development in a language like Java or C#.

Every candidate who meets these requirements gets an individual review for fit. On the fence about whether you qualify? Apply anyway. Deciding is our job, not yours.

What Sets Strong Candidates Apart

✔ Sharp problem-solving skills and sound logical reasoning

✔ Clear communication, both written and spoken, with teammates and stakeholders

✔ Eligibility to obtain a U.S. government security clearance

✔ Willingness to relocate for a client placement

✔ U.S. work authorization as a SkillStorm W2 employee (C2C arrangements not accepted)

A Note for Veterans and Transitioning Service Members

Structured training. A clear mission. Clearance-eligible work. Relocation taken care of. This model fits the way you already operate, and we actively want you in our pipeline.

Your Day-to-Day on Client Assignment

  • Develop and improve applications using your client's languages, frameworks, and tools

  • Produce clean, efficient, well-organized code that meets professional standards

  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects, and provide technical support

  • Take part in code reviews, both offering and receiving constructive feedback

  • Work with stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical specifications

  • Assist with testing and production deployments, and keep technical documentation current

  • Stay up to date on industry tools and practices through continuing training

What You Get

  • Pay from day one: a competitive salary, not training you fund yourself

  • Enterprise-level training plus industry certifications

  • High-impact clients: Fortune 100 companies and government agencies

  • Full benefits: health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus a 401(k)

Ongoing mentorship through training and into your placement
