Join our Field Applications team as a Field Application Specialist - Ambr Focus - Supporting the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast Region and play a key role in helping customers successfully implement advanced upstream bioprocessing solutions. By combining technical expertise, application knowledge, and customer partnership, you will support the selection, evaluation, adoption, and optimization of Ambr bioreactor technologies that accelerate the development and production of innovative therapies for better health for more people. The ideal candidate will reside in PA, NJ, MD, or DE and will support customers across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. Grow with us – Your Responsibilities

  • Support customer evaluations, application assessments, and technical consultations by translating process requirements into appropriate product and workflow recommendations to accelerate product adoption and provide troubleshooting and training for the upstream systems portfolio, including bioreactors, process analytical technologies (PAT), SCADA and automation solutions, and associated consumables

  • Execute application trials, validations, proof-of-concept activities, and customer training by designing, coordinating, and documenting customer-specific evaluation plans, onboarding activities, and outcomes to increase implementation success rates

  • Resolve technical inquiries, application challenges, and product performance issues by troubleshooting customer processes and coordinating corrective actions with relevant functions to protect customer productivity

  • Provide application expertise throughout opportunity development by contributing technical insights, competitive positioning, and solution recommendations that improve the technical suitability of proposed solutions

  • Capture customer feedback, application trends, and competitive intelligence by analyzing field observations, trial outcomes, and product usage patterns and sharing actionable recommendations with Product Management and other stakeholders to support portfolio enhancements

  • Support the training of other Field Application Specialists and Sales colleagues on assigned technologies and processes

  • Train customers on new technologies, support initial start-up operations, and contribute to internal learning opportunities for self-development and team capability building

  • Support the Quality Department during complaint investigations by troubleshooting and analyzing customer processes to improve issue investigation and resolution

  • Provide monthly reports on territory activities to management

What Will Convince Us:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience; Master’s degree preferred

  • 3+ years of application support, technical support, field application, laboratory, process development, or related customer-facing experience within upstream bioprocessing environments, including Process Development, MSAT, cGMP Manufacturing, and/or Tech Transfer teams

  • Experience in biologics or cell and gene therapy applications is a plus

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Ambr bioreactors and associated customer workflows; experience with high-throughput experimental design is a plus

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical and application-related issues within customer environments

  • Demonstrated hands-on capability conducting demonstrations, evaluations, trials, and customer training, with the ability to document findings, outcomes, and recommendations in a structured manner

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Product Management, Quality, and other cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix environment

  • Strong customer orientation with the ability to understand customer needs and translate them into effective application solutions

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholder groups

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce, Tableau, and system control software is a plus

  • Willingness to travel more than 50% as the role is primarily focused on supporting external customers

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Salary range is $90,000-$116,530 (depending on qualifications), plus a sales incentive plan, and car allowance.
