Full job description

Pay: $70,000, plus bonus potential.

The Retail Automation Specialist position is responsible for supporting retail technology systems, applications, and technical operations. Retail automation systems include, but are not limited to, EPOS systems (Verifone), vendor credit card network interfaces, dispenser interfaces and controllers, ATG systems, DVR systems, third-party network interfaces, IoT devices, and more. The role involves close collaboration with IT management and business stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and integration of retail technology projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Organize, manage, and perform implementations of retail technology solutions, applications, and systems in a fast-paced IT environment.

  • Lead retail technology implementation discussions with IT specialists, contractors, and vendors.

  • Develop and plan retail technology testing, implementation and training as needed.

  • Proactively monitor, track, follow-up, and report on system vulnerabilities.

  • Responsible for executing retail technology solutions related projects per protocols.

  • Work on and complete multiple projects and deliverables with limited supervision and be able to work independently or in a team environment.

  • Monitor, manage and provide continuous feedback on all retail technology strategies, standards, and procedures.

  • Manage and document retail system strategies, standard, procedures and protocols.

  • Be able to assist with issues working on with our Support Center.

  • Coordinate with team members in troubleshooting retail technology related issues.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

  • Effectively implement service policies and procedure to support company objectives.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience working with retail technology systems with integration or automation.

  • Highly Proficient in Verifone or similar EPOS systems.

  • Proficiency in the processes of installing and supporting Verifone or similar software and hardware.

  • Experience in troubleshooting moderately complex technology ecosystems.

  • Understanding of process management improvement practices, change management processes, and operations services.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail orientation, and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize in a challenging, fast-pasted, dynamic environment.

  • An ability to handle stress associated with the required immediate resolution of issues.

  • The ability to work at times outside business hours for retail technology system upgrades, outages, and implementations.

  • The ability to operate independently without the need for continuous oversight and

direction.
