Mechanical Engineering Co-op - Summer of 2027
Job Summary
Nidec Press & Automation is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op who is looking to advance their knowledge by gaining hands-on work experience. Job responsibilities will primarily consist of creating and modifying CAD drawings, documenting designs, and problem solving in a team environment under the mentorship of an experienced engineer. Some travel may be required, including occasional travel to trouble-shoot press systems in our customer's plants.
Job Responsibilities

Create and revise 3D models and associated 2D drawings as required.

Assist mechanical design, modeling/calculations, and component selection in new product design and development.

Appropriately document specifications for any purchased item which may be needed.

Assist with any questions originating from the manufacturing environment (weld shop, machine shop, assembly).

Provide technical assistance to other departments and our customers

The Mechanical Engineering co-op will work closely with full-time Mechanical Engineers and gain more responsibility as experience and skills progress.
Qualifications
College Students:
-
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Minimum of 3.0 GPA
