Transform patient care and community as a Nocturnist Physician Assistant in Dallas, Texas.

Our mission in Dallas is to provide “better” in every sense—better healthcare, better teamwork, and a lasting impact on the community we proudly serve. Ready to grow your career in a place that values community and collaboration? Let’s talk.

We are hiring a nocturnist to join our hospitalist team. A nocturnist's role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • We take pride in our well-established team at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas of 45 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers (APPs), with the support of a clinical performance nurse, a clinical performance associate, and a group coordinator.

  • Work alongside a diverse group of professionals with backgrounds from all over the world. We are an integral part of our hospital community and a valued strategic partner, maintaining great relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups.

  • Outside of work, we come together for social events to celebrate special occasions and share common interests like food and sports.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified/eligible physician assistant.

  • We are open to new graduates.

  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • This is a full-time nocturnist position.

  • Full-time positions follow a 7-nights-on, 7-day-off rotation.

  • We understand the importance of spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors. That’s why we offer a flexible schedule that allows for work-life balance. Our team covers for each other when anyone is out, ensuring that you can enjoy time off without worry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For the first 4-6 hours, we have a remote APP taking the pager call from home. If a bedside eval is needed, then they forward the message to the in-house night APP. This allows the in-house APP to make the pt assignments for all the docs the next day. Average of 3-5 bedside calls a night and probably 50 pages.

  • Closed ICU with 24/7 Intensivist on staff and excellent sub-specialty backup- No procedures required.

Living and Working in Dallas, Texas:

  • Located in a fantastic location just North of Downtown Dallas. You have a variety of communities to choose from in both North and South Dallas. Great Schools, strong housing market, and a diverse job market. There is an array of family activities so you can have something to do each day of the year!

  • Enjoy an average of 245 days of sunshine and have access to over 25 city parks, 5 huge lakes, more than 20 golf courses, and dozens of restaurants and shops. Also known for its arts scene, Dallas offers concert venues, off-Broadway shows, museums, and galleries.

Rewards and Compensation:

  • Annual compensation of $145,000.

  • Eligible for the quality and productivity bonus.

  • Full benefits, including CME allowance.
