Americas Service Finance Analyst Description - Job Summary
-
This role is responsible for partnering with GSB AMS Service business leaders to provide financial and operational insights, drive business performance, support forecasting and planning activities, and enable data-driven decision making. The role performs complex financial and operational analysis, identifies business opportunities and risks, supports process improvements, and contributes to automation and AI-driven initiatives across the Service organization. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and financial acumen with a passion for business transformation, process automation, digital innovation, and emerging AI technologies. Responsibilities

Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and participates in cross-functional initiatives.

Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.

Collaborates with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.

Performs complex and occasionally highly complex financial and operational analysis for the Service business, utilizing strong business understanding to achieve objectives effectively.

Supports forecasting, budgeting, monthly close activities, variance analysis, and management reporting.

Develops and maintains financial models, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to improve business visibility and performance tracking.

Partners with Finance, Service Operations, Customer Success, Sales, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to support business objectives and drive performance improvements.

Supports Service Revenue Recognition processes by analyzing service transactions, contract structures, invoicing activities, accruals, and revenue-related business events in compliance with company policies.

Collaborates with Credit & Collections teams to understand customer payment behavior, dispute management processes, invoicing workflows, and payment terms, helping identify opportunities to improve cash flow and operational efficiency.

Performs data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and validation activities across multiple systems and databases to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.

Leads and drives automation initiatives that simplify reporting, improve process efficiency, reduce manual effort, and increase analytical capabilities.

Leverages advanced analytics, AI-enabled tools, and automation capabilities to transform large datasets into actionable business insights, improve decision-making, streamline processes, and develop scalable solutions that enhance business productivity and financial outcomes.

Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development, actively engaging in their design and implementation.

Represents the business unit during cross-regional or cross-functional planning processes.

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, leads and contributes to complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues.

Develops and builds productive internal/external working relationships and provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees. Education & Experience Recommended

Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or any other related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in financial management, financial planning and analysis, accounting, service finance, business operations, or a related field. Preferred Certifications
