Service Desk Transition Lead - Onsite

Job Duties

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Service Desk Transition Lead for a contract position with a Global Manufacturing Company located in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 3 month contract opportunity.

Compensation: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

This role requires demonstrated experience transitioning IT Service Desk operations from an MSP to an internal support organization. The ideal candidate must have previously led at least one successful Service Desk insourcing initiative and will be responsible for driving knowledge transfer, operational readiness, cutover execution, vendor disengagement, and hypercare stabilization with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive knowledge transfer, operational readiness, cutover execution, vendor disengagement, and hypercare stabilization

• Manage vendor disengagement and knowledge transfer programs

• Coordinate cross-functional IT teams during service transitions

Primary Requirements:

• Must have previously led at least one successful MSP-to-internal Service Desk transition from start through hypercare

• 7+ years of IT Service Desk leadership or transition management experience

• Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments

• Experience managing vendor disengagement and knowledge transfer programs

• Ability to drive initiatives with minimal oversight and project management-like skills
