Full job description

Job Title: IT/ Multimedia Support

Location: Hershey, PA

Type: Contract/ 6-12 months

Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Work Model: Onsite

Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing multimedia systems and services

  • Perform preventative maintenance to help avoid issues and ensure smooth operation of all systems

  • Troubleshoot and resolve all technical problems in a timely and professional manner

  • Coordinate with outside vendors for additional technical support when necessary

  • Maintain appropriate levels of spare parts for common issues so repairs can be made efficiently

  • Facilitate the use of campus multimedia systems and services

  • Discuss needs with event organizers to ensure full understanding of multimedia requirements, including room, system use, timings, and support levels

  • Set up rooms and systems in advance of events and perform testing to confirm readiness

  • Facilitate multimedia system use during events to support smooth operation

  • Develop and provide training to users on multimedia system operation and capabilities

  • Create and update operational manuals and documentation for systems

  • Provide general end user support and training for employees and students using multimedia systems

  • Handle loaning out portable equipment (sound systems, projectors)

  • Assist with the annual budgeting process for multimedia systems upgrades and purchases

  • Maintain accurate system documentation and inventories

  • Review and approve multimedia-related invoices

  • Maintain equipment and room inventories, including detailed records of multimedia systems and assets

Requirements

  • High School diploma and vocational or technical training in multimedia technology

  • 1-3 years of experience implementing and supporting multimedia technologies

  • Technical knowledge of and experience supporting common business multimedia equipment and systems

  • Experience setting up and supporting basic residential multimedia systems

  • Familiarity with live production equipment, systems, and supporting live events

  • Knowledge of multimedia control systems

  • Understanding of data networking concepts

  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
