$16.50/hr. and a Free YMCA Membership

Saturday & Sunday 3:00pm-8:00pm

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Program Director/Coordinator,the Birthday Party Staff will be responsible for the planning and coordination of a fun and organized birthday party experience. The position is responsible for demonstrating YMCA leadership competencies to ensure the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester are conveyed.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up, break down and implement programming for the duration of the birthday party.

  • Work in conjunction with other staff to ensure members are provided with a quality YMCA experience.

  • Actively engage the birthday child, his/her guests, families and friends in the birthday party experience at each individual branch.

  • Attend all required meetings and trainings.

  • Maintain all required certifications.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 15 years of age.

  • Customer service experience preferred.

  • High level of attention to detail, quality service and facilities.

  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, maturity and must be able to work independently in busy environment and under pressure.

  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications are required or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended duration of shift.

  • Must be able to bend and stoop frequently.

  • Must be able to move within building including floor to floor.

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Salary Description

$16.50 per hour
