Accounting Manager

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Accounting Manager to support a healthcare accounting team in Alexandria, VA. This role will oversee four Accounting Supervisors and report directly to the Director of Accounting.

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring effective communication across the General Ledger team, driving process improvements, and providing leadership, coaching, and accountability to accounting supervisors. This individual will serve as the operational leader of the team, maintaining visibility across all accounting functions while ensuring workloads are balanced, procedures are clearly defined, and critical deadlines are met.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelors in related field
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 4+ years public accounting background
• 4+ years of people leadership / supervisory experience
• CPA required OR Master’s in Accounting or a related field
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting functions (close, reporting, audit, accruals, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage up/down and cross-functionally
• Healthcare or hospital accounting experience
• Fixed assets and capital projects experience
• FDM & Workday experience
• Non-profit industry experience
• Real estate/lease accounting experience
