DSHS ESA DDS Adjudicator 5- Trainer The Department of Social and Health Services, Disability Determination Services (DDS) is looking to hire a DDS Adjudicator 5 Trainer.
As an Adjudicator 5 Trainer, you'll train and organize the work related to the training of staff.
Some of what you'll do:
- Train all new Adjudicators and MC/PCs on the adjudication of SSA/SSI claims including implementation of Federal and State rules, policies, business processes and court rulings
- Develop and implement personalized training for performance improvement
- Prepare and provide feedback and summary status reports
- Provide recommendations to management on training needs and issues
- Maintains an extensive knowledge of Social Security Administration current regulations, new and changing regulations, rulings, court decisions, and policy instructions
Who should apply: A Bachelor’s degree OR professional experience working with disability, medical or insurance claims adjudication or investigation, health care, unemployment, workers compensation, social services, or related field will substitute, year for year, for education; AND Four years of recent, successful experience, as an adjudicator of Social Security Disability claims. Must have successful experience adjudicating all claim types within the last 4 years.
Desired:
- Two years as an Adjudicator 3 or higher level preferred
- Possess good working knowledge of current Social Security policies, procedures and case processing systems
- Must have knowledge of medical terms, human anatomy and physiology, psychiatric terms, common medications and treatment modalities and their implications as well as knowledge of vocational terms and proficiency in researching physical and mental skills required of occupations
- Proven case management skills for both timeliness and accuracy
- Ability to communicate complex issues both orally and in writing
- Ability to formulate lesson plans and deliver instruction in-person and by video by using PowerPoint and other training mediums
