Job Description
American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. seeks Senior Managers, Data Engineering, under the supervision of a Director, Software Engineering, to identify and resolve inefficiencies in the development process.
Responsibilities
Review requirements specifications for defects, performance, reliability, scalability, testability, usability, and security. Define requirements for new features and build product roadmaps. Monitor and track resolution of defects, coordinating with engineers in order to prevent, report, and resolve the issues. Recommend changes to APIs and system designs in collaboration with architects, tech leads, and developers. Plan process and technology improvement projects and collaborate on execution.
Qualifications
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM Field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with building development plans, and execution of quality assurance and testing for engineering teams. Experience must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: software project management; Agile rapid application development environment; applying software development methodologies, continuous integration and development, integrated test environments, and tool chain automation to perform end-to-end automated test execution through self-service across Mainframe and distributed applications; writing test cases and resolving defects; designing and running functional, automated, system, and performance tests; and API testing, COBOL, Control-M, DB2, JCL, Mainframe CI/CD, MQ, Test Data Management (TDM), SQL, Test Automation, and VSAM. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
