Hockey Coach - Morgan Park Sports Center

POSITION: Hockey Goalie Coach REPORTS TO: Hockey Coordinator EMPLOYEE TYPE: PT/Non-Exempt

Morgan Park Sports Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Hockey Coach to join our dynamic coaching staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hockey, a positive coaching style, and a commitment to developing players at all levels—from youth beginners to advanced competitive players.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead on-ice practices sessions for the intro to hockey program.

• Develop and implement development plans for players across various age groups.

• Collaborate with team coaches to provide in-game and practice support.

• Support development during team practices, skills sessions, and clinics.

• Maintain a professional, enthusiastic, and inclusive environment on and off the ice.

• Communicate with parents on progression, and scheduling.

• Complete other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a hockey player or coach.

• Strong understanding of fundamentals, techniques, and current training trends.

• USA Hockey coaching certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Ability to communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff.

• Must pass a background check and adhere to all SafeSport guidelines.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally must aide or assist participants. The employee must have the endurance to complete the instruction of the assigned fitness program.

Hours: This position requires the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Able to work specifically on Sundays.

HOURLY RATE: $18.50
