Summary You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC) of NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER. Responsibilities You will have expert knowledge of IT processes and INFOSEC/cyber security methodology to supervise and provide cyber security consultation. You will have knowledge of the analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of IT applications/systems or the testing and evaluation of vendor software. You will have knowledge of cyber security policies and protocols related to the CSWF program, IT hardware and software systems to understand capabilities and limitations of systems. You will have knowledge of technology advancement in order to plan and carry out the evaluation of security software and tools for proposed security systems. You will have knowledge and extensive experience in cyber security, supply and logistics support functions in order to provide complex cyber security guidance and assessment for IT business systems and teams. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:(1) Developing, interpreting, and implementing policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure an organization's systems and applications are functional and secure within the network environment;(2) Coordinating Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity (CS) efforts with internal and external stakeholders and reporting status to management;(3) Leading and/or mentoring matrixed support teams; and(4) Determining methods to improve efficiencies within IA/CS teams.
