Full job description

We Are

Accenture is a leading global professional services company that helps organizations build their digital core, optimize operations, accelerate revenue growth, and enhance services. We combine our strength in technology with deep industry experience, functional expertise, and global delivery capabilities to help clients reinvent how they operate and create lasting value.

Our Workday practice helps clients transform finance, human resources, planning, payroll, and related enterprise processes through Workday strategy, implementation, optimization, and application managed services. Our teams bring together business, functional, technical, data, integration, change, and program leadership capabilities to deliver measurable outcomes.

You Are

A seasoned Workday Delivery Lead who brings structure, transparency, and momentum to complex transformation programs. You combine delivery discipline, commercial judgment, client financial management, sales opportunity leadership, and the ability to align senior business and technology stakeholders around measurable outcomes.

You are comfortable operating with client executives, Workday functional and technical teams, third parties, and global delivery teams. You communicate clearly, anticipate issues before they become obstacles, and create an environment where teams deliver high-quality work with accountability and confidence.

The Work

  • Lead Workday implementation, deployment, optimization, or application managed services programs from mobilization through stabilization and transition.

  • Own the integrated delivery strategy and plan, including scope, schedule, milestones, dependencies, resources, deliverables, acceptance criteria, financials, and contractual commitments.

  • Establish program governance, decision forums, status reporting, escalation paths, quality controls, and documentation standards appropriate to the engagement.

  • Drive cross-functional coordination across Workday functional workstreams, integrations, data conversion, security, reporting, testing, change management, training, cutover, deployment, and support.

  • Partner with client sponsors and program leaders to clarify priorities, resolve decisions, manage expectations, and maintain alignment to business outcomes.

  • Maintain active management of risks, actions, issues, decisions, assumptions, and dependencies, with clear owners, target dates, mitigation plans, and escalation when progress stalls.

  • Monitor delivery health and take timely corrective action to protect scope, schedule, quality, budget, team sustainability, and client satisfaction.

  • Own the management of client and engagement financials, including budget planning, revenue and cost forecasting, staffing and utilization, margin performance, invoicing, change control, commercial tracking, variance analysis, and timely corrective action.

  • Plan and facilitate executive steering committees, program leadership meetings, status reviews, and working sessions that result in clear decisions and actions.

  • Coordinate release, testing, cutover, operational readiness, go-live, command-center, and stabilization activities using evidence-based entry and exit criteria.

  • Ensure delivery methods, quality controls, security expectations, and contractual commitments are understood and followed across the engagement team.

  • Lead, coach, and develop project managers and cross-functional team members while promoting collaboration, inclusion, accountability, and sustainable ways of working.

  • Build trusted relationships with clients, Workday, ecosystem partners, third parties, and internal stakeholders to support successful delivery and future opportunities.

  • Identify, qualify, and manage expansion and follow-on sales opportunities by understanding client priorities and unmet needs and partnering with account, sales, and practice leadership to shape solutions, estimates, proposals, staffing strategies, presentations, and the transition from sales to delivery.

  • Maintain visibility into the sales opportunity pipeline, next steps, owners, dependencies, and risks, and support disciplined progression through applicable sales-stage governance.

  • Capture lessons learned, reusable assets, and delivery insights that strengthen the Workday practice and improve future engagements.

Here’s What You Need:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience leading enterprise technology, ERP, or business transformation initiatives, including responsibility for end-to-end delivery.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience leading Workday implementation, deployment, optimization, or support engagements.

  • Minimum of 4 years experience leading at least two end-to-end Workday deployments through planning, design, configuration, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.

  • Minimum of 4 years experience leading cross-functional teams spanning functional, technical, integration, data, security, reporting, testing, and change disciplines.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associates Degree, must have minimum 6 years of work experience)

Bonus Points If:

  • Demonstrated experience managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, quality, and change control.

  • Experience communicating with executive sponsors and translating detailed delivery information into concise, decision-oriented reporting.

  • Experience managing client and engagement financials, including budgets, revenue and cost forecasts, staffing, utilization, margin, invoicing, commercial performance, and contract obligations in a consulting or client-services environment.

  • Experience managing a sales opportunity pipeline, including opportunity identification and qualification, client needs discovery, solution shaping, estimating, proposal development, sales-stage governance, and coordination with account and practice leadership.

  • Working knowledge of Workday implementation methods and lifecycle activities, including tenant strategy, testing cycles, data conversion, integrations, security, cutover, and production readiness.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams and collaborate across client, partner, vendor, and global delivery organizations.

  • You have led large, multi-workstream, multi-country, or global Workday transformation programs.

  • You have experience with Workday Human Capital Management, Financial Management, Payroll, Adaptive Planning, Supply Chain Management, or cross-platform transformation programs.

  • You hold an active Workday certification or have completed Workday delivery training relevant to program leadership.

  • You hold a recognized delivery, project, program, or agile credential, such as PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum, or an equivalent certification.

  • You have experience recovering challenged programs, managing complex commercial situations, or leading high-risk cutover and deployment activities.

  • You have external client-facing consulting experience and a track record of managing sales opportunities, supporting pursuits, shaping solutions, and contributing to account growth.

  • You have experience leading distributed, offshore, or global delivery teams and third-party vendors.
