Senior Program Manager, Mount Sinai Leadership Academy-HR Talent Development & Learning-Mount Sinai Health System-Hybrid-Full Time-Days
Position Summary:
The Senior Program Manager, Mount Sinai Leadership Academy is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and programmatic leadership for the Mount Sinai Leadership Academy and its portfolio of leadership development offerings across the Health System.
Working in partnership with the Executive Sponsor, this role serves as the operational leader of the Academy and is responsible for managing its programs, resources, communications, governance processes, stakeholder partnerships, and continuous improvement efforts. The Senior Program Manager translates strategic priorities into actionable plans , manages cross-functional initiatives, oversees resources and program operations, and drives the effective implementation of leadership development offerings. This role ensures Academy programs, learning pathways, coaching offerings, and related resources are aligned, scalable, and responsive to evolving organizational needs.
This role collaborates closely with the Executive sponsor, Training and Organizational Development Specialists, executive leaders, subject matter experts, and external partners to identify organizational needs, assess program effectiveness, manage the Academy portfolio, and recommend enhancements that support leadership development across the Health System and ensure leaders across Mount Sinah have access to a cohesive, high-quality, and evolving learning experience.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or greater preferred, or a combination of applicable experience and education

7+ years of experience in program management.

Experience managing enterprise-wide leadership development programs, learning portfolios, organizational development initiatives, or strategic workforce development programs preferred.

Compensation Statement:
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $87,692.00 - $131,538.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Responsibilities

Leads the day-to-day administration and operational management, governance, and continuous improvement of the Mount Sinai Leadership Academy and its portfolio of leadership development offerings.

Partners with the Executive Sponsor to operationalize the Academy’s strategic priorities and translate them into actionable plans, initiatives, and learning pathways.

Oversees the Academy portfolio, including program planning, prioritization, resource coordination, and support for executing the leadership development programs, workshops, coaching offerings, learning pathways, leadership resources, and related initiatives.

Serves as the steward of the Mount Sinai Leadership Academy brand, ensuring consistent messaging, positioning, marketing, and communication of Academy offerings across the Health System.

Develops and executes communication and engagement strategies that increase awareness, participation, and utilization of leadership development opportunities.

Maintains oversight of Academy resources, learning pathways, program inventories, websites, communications, and supporting materials to ensure information remains current, accessible, and aligned

Conducts ongoing needs assessments, stakeholder consultations, environmental scans, and industry research to identify leadership capability gaps, emerging trends, and opportunities for program enhancement.

Evaluates the effectiveness and impact of leadership development programs using participant feedback, evaluation data, organizational metrics, and stakeholder input.

Develops and implements recommendations for program enhancements, redesigns, expansions, retirements, and new leadership development offerings based on evaluation findings and to evolving organizational priorities

Establishes and maintains Academy governance processes, and reporting processes that support data-driven decision-making, program quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.

Develops dashboards, scorecards, reports, presentations, and executive summaries that communicate participation trends, outcomes, impact measures, and strategic recommendations.

Partners with Chief Learning Officer, Executive Sponsor, Training and Organizational Development Specialists, and leaders to ensure Academy offerings complement broader talent and leadership development initiatives.

Establishes and maintains relationships with internal faculty, facilitators, executive sponsors, vendors, consultants, and external partners supporting Academy initiatives.

Coordinates Academy planning activities, stakeholder meetings, portfolio reviews, communications, and special projects to support strategic decision-making and program execution.

Supports development and management of Academy budgets, contracts, and external partnerships as assigned.

May supervise team members, consultants, interns, vendors, or project teams as assigned.

Performs other related duties.
