Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a healthcare organization on a contract basis. This position will support payroll operations for a large, multi-entity employee population and help ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with high-volume payroll processing, timekeeping review, and payroll reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for approximately 500 employees across multiple entities and work locations while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

• Review, validate, and resolve timekeeping records in ADP Workforce Now for a workforce that includes salaried, hourly, permanent, part-time, and per diem staff.

• Assist with payroll submissions and prepare supporting reports to help monitor payroll activity and reconcile key data.

• Contribute to payroll tax compliance activities and provide support for year-end payroll tasks and related documentation.

• Work closely with the Payroll Specialist to help deliver consistent, accurate payroll results within established deadlines.

• Support payroll data transfer efforts and assist with activities tied to an upcoming system implementation as needed. Requirements • Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll in a high-volume environment.

• Ability to process payroll for employee populations exceeding 500 workers.

• Experience handling multi-state payroll with strong attention to compliance requirements.

• Hands-on proficiency with ADP Workforce Now for timecard review and payroll processing.

• Familiarity with payroll systems such as UKG Pro is preferred.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve payroll issues efficiently.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills in a deadline-driven setting.
