Community Medical Liaison (CML), Neuroscience

The Community Medical Liaison (CML), Neuroscience provides disease awareness and product education to multidisciplinary treatment teams, patients, and caregivers. In this role, you will be supporting Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine . Disease state and product information will be related to current and future neuroscience therapeutic areas, including Schizophrenia and Mood Disorders . This is a field-based position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide multidisciplinary healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, social workers, case managers, counselors, and other treatment team members) with disease awareness education through one-on-one interactions, roundtable discussions, and formal presentations.

  • Deliver engaging disease awareness programs for patients and caregivers in both virtual and community-based treatment settings.

  • Educate healthcare professionals on the safe and effective use of products within the neuroscience therapeutic area in accordance with regulatory, legal, and healthcare compliance guidelines.

  • Collaborate with advocacy organizations to increase disease state awareness and participate in community and patient-focused educational events.

  • Provide objective clinical information and support to internal business partners as needed.

  • Gather and communicate clinical insights relevant to the neuroscience therapeutic area and contribute to Medical Affairs field strategies designed to address educational gaps and stakeholder feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Nursing, Counseling, or a related healthcare field.

  • Minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience within a therapeutic area and treatment setting involving direct patient interaction.

  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills in both in-person and virtual environments.

  • Self-motivated with strategic thinking, organizational skills, and effective territory management capabilities.

  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally as business needs require (approximately 75%).

  • Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, or a related healthcare discipline.

  • Experience working with patients diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, or other serious mental illnesses.

  • Prior experience providing education to healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, or community-based treatment teams.

  • Strong understanding of the behavioral health, psychiatry, community mental health, or neuroscience care landscape.

  • Experience partnering with patient advocacy organizations, support groups, or community health agencies.

  • Previous field-based, outreach, community engagement, or medical education experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary stakeholders across healthcare and community settings.

The potential base pay range for this role is $100-112K annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
