Overview

Monte Rosa Therapeutics seeks an experienced, highly organized, and collaborative People Experience Operations (HR) Generalist to support and enhance our people operations function. This role will be responsible for managing core HR processes, systems, compliance activities, and employee lifecycle programs while helping to scale a high-performing and employee-focused global organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day HR operations, ensuring efficient and compliant execution of employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding

  • Serve as the primary administrator for HR systems, maintaining data integrity, reporting accuracy, and process optimization

  • Manage HR compliance activities, including employment law requirements, personnel records management, policy administration, and audit readiness

  • Partner with Payroll and Finance to support compensation, benefits administration, and employee data management activities

  • Develop, document, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, workflows, and standard operating practices

  • Generate and analyze workforce metrics and HR reports to support business and organizational decision-making

  • Support annual HR programs, including performance management, compensation planning, employee engagement initiatives, and learning & development

  • Manage benefit programs and vendor relationships, ensuring a positive employee experience and timely issue resolution

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to facilitate seamless candidate-to-employee transitions and onboarding experiences

  • Provide operational support for organizational changes, workforce planning activities, and special HR projects

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation, efficiency improvements, and enhanced employee services

  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information

Qualifications

  • 5+ years for a senior generalist or 8+ years of progressive HR experience for manager level, including significant experience in HR operations, HRIS administration, and employee lifecycle management

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements

  • Experience partnering with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and external vendors

  • Demonstrated experience administering HRIS platforms and generating workforce analytics and reporting

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative, global, cross-functional environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with HR technology platforms

  • Experience supporting a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or similarly regulated environment is a plus
