Software Engineer II

Software Engineer II positions offered by WarnerMedia Services, LLC (New York, New York). Responsible for the messaging platform of streaming products such as Max and HBO Max. Build services that scale to support millions of customers, across a wide range of devices and surface and drive improvements in customer engagement and retention. Ensure that the Messaging Platform enables product and marketing teams to reach customers, notifying them about new shows, providing personalized content recommendations, and alerting when there are account issues. Contribute to complex architectures and distributed systems, including working with other engineers to help deliver the end solution. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design. Perform extensive unit testing using Jest, Jasmine, and Mocha. Describe highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a way they can understand. Requires a bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, or a related field. Must have demonstrated proficiency in each of the following:o Delivering and operating reliable low-latency, services operating in a 24x7 environmento Using one of the following Cloud Computing platforms: AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, or Azureo Developing using, JavaScript, TypeScript, Golang, or C# Position reports to New York, NY, but may telecommute from any location in the U.S. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
