Full job description
Meaningful Work From Day One
Manage the coordination and timely SAP processing of inbound and outbound shipments for BFC, subsidiaries, co-packers, and outside warehouses, overseeing a transportation budget. Oversee shipment and transportation expense audits and processing for over 115 vendors and more than 1,000 internal account numbers. Serve as the primary liaison for shipment coordination and processing, facilitating communication between supply chain integration, internal customers, shipping facilities, transportation vendors, outside warehouses, and foreign suppliers. Ensure cost-efficient modes of transport, applicable rate structures, accurate Incoterms, and vendor payments. Act as a global liaison for operational execution and analytical support, adhering to all global compliance and transportation policies and procedures.
What You Can Expect

Shipment and Routing Management: Analyze and complete daily shipment routings to achieve optimal transportation service levels at the lowest cost through appropriate mode and carrier selection.Monitor and manage the execution of transportation routing guides for global shipments from B-F shipping facilities and third-party warehouses.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal and external customers across the supply chain to ensure service level and cost balance while adhering to global compliance requirements.Maintain direct communication throughout the supply chain to address delivery and logistics inquiries and resolve issues.

Performance Analysis and Improvement: Analyze vendor and carrier performance to identify opportunities for process improvements.Troubleshoot global transportation and logistics supply chain issues to support internal and external customers.

SAP and Data Management: Manage the SAP architectural structure and data accuracy for routes, freight rates, transportation zones, and carrier ranking tables, including applicable surcharges.Oversee the SAP Transportation Module for accurate freight payment and order processing, resolving SAP error logs and ensuring timely and accurate freight payments.

Reporting and Analysis: Analyze and summarize logistics data from SAP and associated databases to produce standard and ad-hoc reports and presentations for various stakeholders.Ensure data integrity and compile KPI metrics into standardized management reports and the Logistics Department budget.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Adhere to U.S. Government and Customs global regulations and procedures for transportation and compliance.Support import/export activities related to Incoterms, commodity classification, harmonization tariff schedules, and country of origin.

Financial and Vendor Management: Manage vendor assignments for inquiries and payments, and coordinate freight payment activities via Excel or manual payment.Perform audits to ensure accurate freight rate structures and distribution of freight expenses, and manage insurance freight claims for loss or damages.

Support and Continuous Improvement: Provide back-up support within the department to meet business needs and assist with data analysis, reporting, and projects as assigned.Develop and provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting to enhance supply chain understanding and address significant business issues.
What You Bring to the Table

Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field and 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation or 5 years equivalent experience in logistics, supply chain management or transportation.

Logistics and Supply Chain Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of logistics, distribution, and supply chain principles.

Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers globally. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply them to business solutions and manage detailed and ambiguous information accurately.

Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to independently plan, organize, and manage workload within established deadlines in a team-oriented, high-volume, dynamic environment.

Technical Proficiency: Technical aptitude in using operational support software, including SAP or similar ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Analysis for Office/Business Warehouse.

Financial Acumen: Familiarity with foreign currency exchange.
Working Arrangement
In-office at the Brown-Forman Louisville, Kentucky Corporate Headquarters Monday to Thursday, with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
