Financial Analyst 1 1517565 * Hourly pay: $45-$55/hr * Worksite: Leading university (Redwood City, CA 94063 - Hybrid) * W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL * 20 hours/week, 4 Month Assignment (With possibility of extension) A leading university is seeking a Financial Analyst 1 to support accounting, financial data analysis, and budgeting within its finance and administration department. Financial Analyst 1 Responsibilities: * Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions, and clear outstanding items. * Prepare and submit journals, and identify and resolve incorrect journal entries, data anomalies, deviations from established procedures, and unusual issues. * Run, maintain, reconcile, review, combine, analyze, and validate financial data sets using financial reports, databases, and key financial information from multiple systems, and assist in preparing basic management information reports. * Support budgeting and forecasting, and perform additional duties as needed. Financial Analyst 1 Qualifications: * 3 years of experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience. * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including advanced formula use. * Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). * Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems and aptitude to learn new systems. * Proficiency with Oracle systems is preferred. * Proficiency with Adaptive Planning is preferred. Shift: * Hybrid: minimum of 2 days onsite. * 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. (H)
