About Solar Energy Solutions

Founded in 2006, Solar Energy Solutions (SES) designs and builds solar and battery storage systems for homeowners, businesses, and institutions across Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, and the surrounding region.

We handle projects end to end, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), with an in-house team that holds electrical licenses, NABCEP certifications, and a range of manufacturer certifications. Our mission is to help build the clean energy economy and create well-paying, lasting jobs along the way. We're growing, and we're looking for people who want to grow with us.

The Role

As a Project Coordinator you will manage the day-to day administrative tasks, track progress, and keep communications flowing so a project stays on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Documentation Management: Organizes and tracks contracts, building permits, progress reports, Requests for Information (RFIs), shop drawings, and change orders.

  • Scheduling and Timelines: Assists with master schedules, tracks milestone completion, and coordinates trade workflows to prevent bottlenecks.

  • Communication Hub: Acts as the primary point of contact for sharing project updates between architects, engineers, general contractors, and vendors.

  • Procurement and Resource Support: Helps source materials, coordinate equipment deliveries, track sub-trade agreements, and verify supplier compliance.

  • Financial and Invoice Tracking: Monitors budget logs, tracks cost or scope changes, and helps review subcontractor invoices and billing.

  • Meeting and Site Support: Schedules project meetings, takes action notes, tracks open tasks, and sometimes assists with site quality or safety compliance.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

  • Clear, proactive communication with customers, crews, and internal teams.

  • Comfort managing budgets and making decisions that affect project profitability.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, Hubspot, and Pro-Core.

  • A professional, steady approach when schedules or site conditions get difficult.

  • A valid driver's license, the ability to travel to job sites routinely, and successful completion of pre-employment background and motor vehicle checks.

Preferred

  • Project management experience, ideally in construction or energy.

  • Electrical or solar industry experience.

  • NABCEP certification, or interest in earning one.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Familiarity with HubSpot, MS Project or other scheduling software, CAD, or Adobe tools.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary plus performance bonus

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) participation after one year

  • Paid time off
