Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is now seeking a full-time Mechanical Maintenance and Operations Technician I. This position will play a major role in performing duties in the maintenance and operation of mechanical systems. This individual will be an energetic, positive person with the ability to communicate in person, via email or by phone. Cumberland Falls’ main objective for this position is to allow your experience to serve in installing repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment such as HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical systems and associated equipment.

Examples of job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Install. repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, electrical systems and associated equipment.

  • Monitor mechanical systems to ensure operation.

  • Inspect and check for the working performance of equipment according to specifications.

  • Perform checks and tests on mechanical equipment.

  • Test water quality and add proper amounts of chemicals and gases to water and operating equipment.

  • Repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, and sewage operations.

  • Keeps basic records of work activities.

  • Provide technical assistance in the maintenance and operation of heating and cooling equipment.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION:NONE

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:NONE

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):Must be 18 years of age.

Working Conditions

May be required to take care of emergency repairs twenty-four hours a day.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
