Full job description

Description We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to provide hands-on support for a pharmaceutical environment in Bridgewater, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is fully on-site and focuses on diagnosing network issues, restoring service quickly, and maintaining reliable connectivity across local facilities. The role also includes assisting with infrastructure rollouts and supporting network operations in nearby sites as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve day-to-day network incidents, with an emphasis on break/fix support for critical infrastructure and connectivity issues.

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls, including policy updates, performance checks, and security-related problem resolution.

  • Administer Cisco switching environments by handling configuration changes, trunking, upgrades, and general switch troubleshooting.

  • Support SD-WAN environments using Cisco or Meraki technologies, including issue identification, connectivity analysis, and service restoration.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot Aruba wireless networks to ensure stable coverage and dependable access for site users and operations.

  • Assist with network deployments, hardware installation, and equipment replacement projects, including occasional after-hours or weekend work when required.

  • Provide network support for additional nearby facilities, with limited local travel to assist with operational needs across sites.

  • Handle physical setup and movement of network and computer equipment, including tasks that may require lifting items up to 50 pounds. Requirements • Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Palo Alto firewalls in an enterprise environment; Panorama exposure is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking, including switches, routers, VLANs, trunking, software upgrades, and general infrastructure support.

  • Practical understanding of SD-WAN concepts and troubleshooting, ideally with Cisco SD-WAN or Meraki SD-WAN platforms.

  • Experience supporting Aruba wireless networks, including configuration, diagnostics, and performance troubleshooting.

  • Ability to work on-site five days per week and travel occasionally to nearby facilities for support needs.

  • Comfortable participating in evening or weekend deployment activities when project schedules require it.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing or regulated environments, building management systems, production networks, or HMIs is preferred.

  • Relevant networking certifications and exposure to GxP, Azure, or related enterprise technologies would be advantageous. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
