Job Summary Barrett Paving Materials Inc., Internship program is designed to provide a hands-on accounting experience supporting the aggregates and ready-mix industry. Working alongside experienced accounting professionals, the intern will assist with routine accounting activities. Main Responsibilities - Assist the accounting team with month end closing - Enter, review, and validate information within accounting systems - Prepare spreadsheets, reports and supporting documentation - Assist with account reconciliations and research discrepancies - Work with accounting staff to identify and resolve routine issues - Learn how financial information supports operations Skills - Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial in - Proficiency in Mircrosoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook - Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy - Effective written and verbal communication skills - Ability to organize assignments and meet deadlines - Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with financial in Education - Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
