Full job description

Description We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Human Resources specialist to support employee relations and workplace investigation activities for a contract position based in Arden Hills, Minnesota. This role focuses on reviewing employee concerns, advising leaders on appropriate responses, and helping ensure fair, consistent, and compliant resolution of workplace matters. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive issues in a structured and impartial manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead impartial workplace reviews related to employee complaints, conduct issues, policy concerns, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and similar matters.

  • Gather and assess information through interviews, document review, and evidence analysis to develop clear, well-supported findings.

  • Prepare thorough case summaries and investigation reports that document facts, conclusions, and recommended next steps.

  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Labor Relations, Legal, Global Security, and operational leaders to address employee relations concerns effectively.

  • Advise managers on handling workplace issues in alignment with employment laws, company policies, and consistent people practices.

  • Track case activity, maintain accurate records, and protect confidential information throughout each stage of the process.

  • Recognize recurring themes across cases and share insights that may help reduce future workplace risk.

  • Support employee relations matters in manufacturing, production, distribution, or other hourly workforce settings when applicable. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • At least five years of experience in human resources, employee relations, workplace investigations, or a closely related area.

  • Proven ability to conduct objective, well-documented, and defensible workplace investigations.

  • Strong interviewing, analytical, conflict resolution, and clear, detail-focused writing skills.

  • Working knowledge of employment law, HR policies, and compliant employee relations practices.

  • Ability to manage highly sensitive matters with confidentiality, sound judgment, and discretion.

  • Experience advising leaders and collaborating with cross-functional partners on employee concerns and risk-based decisions.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing, operational, unionized, or non-exempt workforce environments, as well as case management systems, is preferred.
