POSITION SUMMARY

A Graphics Installer is responsible for the design, ordering, and application of stripes on the fire apparatus according to the specifications of the build. They will have to communicate with outside vendors and inspect the spec book to effectively complete tasks .

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

• Applies striping to the body and chassis of the fire apparatus.

• Orders stripe materials for fire apparatus to be installed.

• Measures out height and lengths of trucks to install the necessary stripe decals on trucks

• Examines specification books and prints to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

Tools to be utilized:

Tape measure, professional vinyl knives, wrap squeegees, scissors, hand tools, and power tools.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

• High school diploma/GED.

• Strong mechanical and technical ability required.

• 1+ years of experience in striping preferred.

• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Language:

• Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.

• Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.

• Able to follow written and verbal directions.

Math:

• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Computer:

Abilities:

• Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.

• Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.

• Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.

• Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.

• Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
