Account Manager II (Open Enrollment & Benefits)
Location: Remote | Candidates must reside in DC, MD, VA, PA, DE, or WV
Employment Type: 3-Month Contract (W-2)
Compensation: $34.02/hour
Travel: Up to 70% travel during Open Enrollment season
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager II to support client benefit programs and drive successful open enrollment initiatives across the DMV region and surrounding areas. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expertise on employee benefits, enrollment strategies, claims support, and benefits administration while delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary client contact for benefits-related inquiries, enrollment support, and issue resolution.

Build and maintain strong relationships with HR teams, brokers, consultants, and key stakeholders.

Support group enrollment growth and retention through employee education and engagement initiatives.

Lead and facilitate open enrollment meetings, presentations, and benefit education sessions.

Analyze benefits data, claims trends, and client needs to provide consultative recommendations.

Coordinate and track account issues through resolution while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.

Partner with internal teams on implementation, renewals, wellness programs, and benefits communication strategies.

Ensure compliance with applicable insurance regulations and benefit program requirements.
Required Qualifications
-
Active Health and Life Producer License for Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia.

Minimum 3 years of experience in account management, benefits administration, client services, implementation, sales support, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel extensively to client sites during open enrollment periods.

Strong communication, presentation, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
