Be the Person Who Keeps Great Care Moving!

Are you an organized, resourceful, detail-loving administrative pro who can keep a busy healthcare operation running smoothly?

Richmond Community Services is looking for a Clinical Care Support Specialist to support the medical and administrative needs of the people we serve at our 919 location.

This is more than scheduling appointments. You’ll be the person making sure all the pieces come together—from coordinating medical appointments and transportation to preparing records, tracking follow-up care, communicating with providers and families, and keeping critical documentation organized and audit-ready.

If you’re someone who thinks ahead, solves problems, loves a good checklist, and can confidently say “I’ve got it covered,” we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and track medical and specialty appointments.

  • Communicate with healthcare providers, nursing, leadership, families, and guardians.

  • Prepare appointment packets and ensure clinical information is ready.

  • Track physician recommendations, test results, and follow-up needs.

  • Maintain accurate records and information in Therap, QuickMAR, and other agency systems.

  • Support audits, regulatory surveys, meetings, projects, and quality initiatives.

  • Keep the details moving—and make sure nothing falls through the cracks!

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma required; College graduate preferred.

  • 3+ years of secretarial/administrative experience.

  • Experience supporting multiple staff members and/or management-level staff preferred.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Accurate typing speed of 50+ words per minute.

  • Knowledge of advanced clerical practices and procedures.

  • Minute-taking experience is a major plus!

  • Ability to work occasional early mornings, late afternoons/evenings, and weekends.

  • Valid NY, NJ, or CT driver's license and access to reliable transportation to travel between agency locations.

Why RCS?

You’ll be joining a nonprofit team where your organization, professionalism, and ability to get things done have a direct impact on the quality of care people receive.

If you're the person everyone counts on to make things happen—this job was made for you.
