Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent practical experience.

12 years of experience in sourcing and procurement functions.

Experience with CapEx supply chain and manufacturing technologies, and working in end-to-end (plan/NPI/source/make/deliver/PLM) supply chains.

Experience with cost modeling and contract negotiation.
Preferred qualifications:
-
15 years of leadership experience in global supply chain, strategic sourcing, or hardware operations, with 8 years of experience managing complex capital equipment portfolios.

Experience leading, scaling, and developing high-performing organizations at a senior management level.
-
Track record of leading high-stakes commercial negotiations and owning supply chain partnerships at the executive/C-suite level.

Ability to manage and improve supplier performance and deep familiarity with factory operations.
-
Ability to gain buy-in from internal hardware VPs and external supplier/partner CEOs.
-
Ability to travel less than 20% of the time internationally as needed.

The DSPG MCO (Manufacturing and CapEx Operations) team serves as the commercial leaders for the global consumer electronics manufacturing ecosystem at Google, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business. We are solely responsible for managing the company’s financial resources at all intersections of global manufacturing, navigating a dynamic and constantly evolving global supply chain ecosystem, and leading the way in developing tactical, operational and strategic manufacturing solutions for Google. Our contributions to the business directly enable the company to achieve operational excellence in all critical areas: cost, quality, supply, and schedule.
In this role, you will lead the strategy, sourcing, business award, contracting, and commercial negotiations with external CapEx Suppliers for your assigned projects. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships that enable and scale the Devices and Services Product Area (DSPA) Consumer Hardware portfolio.
You will lead an organization responsible for establishing sourcing and supplier relationship management for all CapEx supply chains. You will drive the adoption of these practices to continuously improve Google's supplier partnerships and management through data-driven insights and scalable processes. Furthermore, you will be responsible for building, mentoring and scaling a high-performing team through thoughtful and focused organizational leadership.
You will collaborate closely with Sourcing colleagues, Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Planning, Finance, Legal and other teams to develop partnership strategies and establish program execution plans with our CapEx Supply Chain partners.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $236000 - $329000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

Define and implement long-term strategic sourcing plans for specific products and commodities, encompassing market analysis, risk assessment, supplier identification and qualification, and technology roadmapping to ensure a resilient and cost-effective supply base that meets evolving needs.

Lead high-stakes negotiations with key suppliers, developing and managing complex contractual agreements to optimize value, mitigate risk, and ensure favorable commercial terms that align with business objectives.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators for strategic suppliers, proactively managing supplier performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships to ensure consistent quality, on-time delivery, and proactive problem resolution.

Lead collaborative efforts with internal teams and supply chain partners to optimize costs for manufacturing TCO extending beyond just CapEx and considering the best economic outcomes across all aspects of manufacturing cost.
