Job Overview

Paint Line Worker

Location: Freeport, IL

Shift: 1st Shift

Schedule: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday–Friday (occasional Saturday OT)

Pay: $16-17/hr

Job Summary

Sedona Staffing is seeking a reliable and dedicated Paint Line Worker to join an industrial production team in Freeport, IL. The Paint Line Worker will be responsible for preparing, painting, and inspecting metal components on a production line while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare metal components for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and performing other required preparation
Hang and position parts on the paint line according to production specifications
Operate paint line equipment and tools safely and efficiently
Apply paint and coatings according to established specifications and quality standards
Monitor painted parts for proper coverage, color, thickness, and overall appearance
Identify and report paint defects such as runs, drips, uneven coverage, overspray, or missed areas
Perform touch-up painting and finishing work as needed
Remove, inspect, and properly handle painted components from the production line
Maintain paint line equipment and report equipment issues or needed repairs
Meet production goals while maintaining consistent quality standards
Perform other painting and production duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous industrial painting, manufacturing, or production experience preferred
Experience working on a paint line is a plus, but not required
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to safely operate production equipment and related tools
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
Ability to lift up to 50–60 lbs
Ability to stand, bend, reach, lift, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
