The Department of Anthropology at Michigan State University is currently establishing a pool of part-time fixed-term assistant professors. These positions will be filled on an as needed basis per academic year. Applicants in this pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy as needed within two years to begin as early as August 17, 2026. Duties/Responsibilities include: Teaching undergraduate courses in sociocultural and medical anthropology for the upcoming year. Courses may also include those that are part of the departments Integrated Studies in the Social Sciences offerings.
