Pay Rate: $77.17 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Subcontract Program Manager to support a leading organization in the aviation and aerospace industry.
In this high-impact role, you’ll take ownership of supplier performance and subcontract strategy for major programs, managing everything from material budgets and forecasts to negotiations, schedules, technical requirements, and risk mitigation. You’ll partner across Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and Business Management to ensure suppliers deliver the right solutions at the right cost and on schedule.

What You’ll Do
As a Subcontract Program Manager II, you’ll play a critical role in supplier and program execution. Your responsibilities will include:

Manage total supplier performance and supplier management strategy for assigned major programs or portions of programs.

Oversee the total materials budget , including subcontracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
-
Develop comprehensive material business plans, forecasts, budgets, and schedules .
-
Partner with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and Business Management to develop and execute program material plans.
-
Ensure suppliers meet all cost, schedule, technical, legal, and contractual requirements established within their agreements.
-
Guide teams responsible for supplier program execution and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
-
Identify, assess, mitigate, and resolve supplier risks and issues before they impact program objectives.
-
Ensure supplier work products satisfy established cost, schedule, and technical requirements .
-
Analyze critical cost, technical, and schedule elements of supplier proposals.
-
Evaluate supplier pricing, exceptions to terms, Statements of Work (SOW), technical specifications, and other key contractual requirements.
-
Establish negotiation objectives and targets for major subcontracts and procured materials.
-
Lead and support negotiations designed to achieve program and business objectives.
-
Work directly with suppliers, including on-site supplier management at supplier facilities , as required.

Operate independently while maintaining alignment with broader program strategies and priorities.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this position, candidates should bring:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field , or relevant experience that may be considered in lieu of the required education.
-
Experience supporting or managing missile-related programs or systems .
-
Strong supplier management, subcontract management, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
-
Ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions in a fast-paced program environment.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
-
Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, operational, program, and business functions.
-
This position requires a Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Standout candidates may also have:
-
4–6 years of relevant experience in supplier management, subcontract management, program management, or a related discipline.

Experience in Program Management .
-
Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as they relate to supplier and subcontract management.
-
Demonstrated experience driving supplier performance and resolving complex supplier issues.
-
Previous experience with missile programs.
-
A technical or engineering degree .
-
Higher education that may substitute for applicable professional experience.
-
Experience evaluating supplier proposals, Statements of Work, technical specifications, pricing, and contract terms.

Pay Details: $77.17 per hour
