Job Description
Our Banking client is seeking an experienced Incident Response & Management Specialist to support the continued maturation of the organization's incident management and crisis response capabilities. This individual will play a critical role in evaluating, enhancing, documenting, and maintaining enterprise incident response plans and procedures that protect critical banking operations, customer services, and organizational resilience. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of incident management, crisis response planning, operational risk, and financial services experience. This position will partner closely with technology, information security, risk, business operations, and executive stakeholders to ensure comprehensive incident preparedness and effective response coordination across the bank. This role differs from traditional business continuity positions by focusing specifically on incident response planning, crisis management readiness, and operational response governance rather than ongoing continuity program ownership, although at times the role will be involved in such.
Skills and Requirements
5+ years of experience in Incident Management, Incident Response, Operational Resilience, Crisis Management, IT Service Management, Risk Management, or related disciplines. Experience developing, maintaining, or enhancing incident response plans, crisis management procedures, or resiliency frameworks. Strong documentation and process development skills. Experience within financial services, banking, insurance, fintech, or other heavily regulated industries. Understanding of business-critical applications, financial processes, operational risk, and regulatory requirements. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior leadership. Ability to independently manage priorities and drive initiatives with limited oversight. Experience supporting banking regulatory expectations, including FFIEC, OCC, FDIC, NIST, or similar frameworks. Knowledge of operational resilience, enterprise risk management, cybersecurity incident response, or business continuity disciplines. Familiarity with ServiceNow, GRC platforms, or incident management tooling. Experience leading tabletop exercises, crisis simulations, or incident readiness assessments. Certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, CISM, CRISC, ITIL, CISSP, or similar are highly desirable.
