Job Description

A customer of Insight Global is looking to hire a Project Manager – Software Delivery & Release Readiness to come onboard! This person will coordinate software updates and deployments across a large customer population, with a heavy focus on analyzing and validating customer, scheduling, and release data. They will use advanced Excel and reporting/tracking tools to identify data discrepancies, organize customers into deployment cohorts, manage schedules and dependencies, and coordinate across multiple internal teams. This is a hands-on coordination role that requires someone who is highly organized, comfortable challenging inaccurate data, and able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Coordinate software releases and updates across a large number of customer environments.
  • Export, analyze, and validate customer, scheduling, and release data using advanced Excel, including pivot tables and filtering.
  • Identify missing, inaccurate, or conflicting data and work across teams to resolve discrepancies before deployments.
  • Determine customer readiness and organize customers into appropriate deployment schedules/cohorts.
  • Maintain deployment schedules while tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, action items, and readiness.
  • Coordinate across Engineering, Operations, Support, Customer Delivery, and other teams to keep software releases moving.
  • Build and maintain reporting around release status, customer readiness, scheduling, risks, and open actions.
  • Support customer-facing communication regarding deployment schedules, upcoming activities, expectations, and changes.

Skills and Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, program coordination, release management, software implementation, deployment, or a closely related technology environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, specifically working with large datasets, exports, pivot tables, filtering, reconciliation, and data validation.
  • Experience coordinating software releases, SaaS deployments, upgrades, or customer implementations across multiple customers simultaneously.
  • Strong experience with data analysis and validation, including finding discrepancies, missing information, scheduling conflicts, and questionable data rather than assuming source data is accurate.
  • Experience managing deployment schedules, customer readiness, dependencies, risks, deadlines, and action items across concurrent workstreams.
  • Experience creating and maintaining operational reporting, project tracking, release reporting, or scheduling reports.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and coordination skills, including driving work to completion across teams without direct authority
