Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced LPN or RN to join a residential treatment facility in Waverly, Tennessee. This nurse will be responsible for monitoring and managing the overall health, safety, and wellness of clients using established nursing practices and standards of care.

The nurse will administer medications, monitor clients’ physical and behavioral health needs, maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, and coordinate care with providers and on-site staff. This position involves frequent client interaction in both individual and group settings and requires close collaboration with therapists, client care technicians, external vendors, and other members of the clinical team. The nurse will also support discharge planning and aftercare coordination.

Responsibilities Administer medications and other ordered treatments accurately and on time Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record Monitor clients for physical health concerns, suicidal thinking, and self-harm risks Identify urgent healthcare needs and coordinate appropriate care with internal and external partners Perform client rounds and monitor client safety in accordance with facility policies Communicate with treating providers and collaborate with the on-site clinical team Provide individual and group health education as scheduled or needed Assist with discharge planning and aftercare appointment coordination Maintain accurate medication inventory and ensure medications remain secure Provide a professional handoff to the incoming nurse to maintain continuity of care Support crisis management, de-escalation, and overall safety within the treatment environment

Skills and Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications Active, unrestricted LPN or RN license in Tennessee, or a qualifying compact RN license Associate degree in nursing or higher Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience Previous leadership experience Experience administering medications and taking vital signs Current First Aid and CPR/AED competency Experience with crisis management, de-escalation, incident reporting, and client safety Proficiency with electronic medical record systems Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to respond appropriately during emergency situations Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing, BSN Experience working in an inpatient, residential treatment, or behavioral health environment Experience supporting individuals with mental health or trauma-related needs Personal or professional familiarity with military culture, including experience working with service members, veterans, or military families, to help build trust and rapport with clients
