Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer 2 (FSE 2) at GE Precision Healthcare LLC, you will be responsible for providing expert-level technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair services for our advanced healthcare imaging and diagnostic equipment within a designated field territory. You will ensure optimal performance and uptime of critical medical devices, directly impacting patient care and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:**

Perform complex installations, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs on a wide range of GE Precision Healthcare equipment, including but not limited to MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot intricate technical issues, utilizing schematics, service manuals, diagnostic tools, and remote support systems to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Provide on-site technical support and training to clinical staff and customers on equipment operation, safety protocols, and basic maintenance procedures.

Manage a designated service territory, prioritizing service calls, scheduling appointments, and completing service documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate inventory of parts and tools, ensuring efficient utilization and replenishment.

Adhere to all GE Precision Healthcare quality standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO), and safety procedures.

Collaborate with sales, applications, and engineering teams to resolve complex customer issues and contribute to product improvement initiatives.

Participate in ongoing technical training and development programs to stay current with product advancements and industry best practices.

Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional demeanor, effective communication, and timely resolution of service requests.

Complete all required administrative tasks, including service reports, timecards, expense reports, and customer feedback documentation.
Qualifications:**
-
Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent military experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in field service engineering, preferably with healthcare imaging or diagnostic equipment.

Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic and mechanical systems.

Strong understanding of digital imaging technologies and networking principles.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in using service tools, test equipment, and diagnostic software.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
-
Ability to travel frequently within the assigned service territory, including overnight stays as needed.

Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various clinical environments.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in the healthcare industry is a plus.
