Summary

This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. This is a Permanent GS-05/06/07 SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1904000 and is part of the MO United States Property and Fiscal Office.

Duties

  • Analyzes possible redistribution of equipment through transfer, loan or assignment.
  • Reviews and processes external as well as internal loans/leases that may impact readiness or mission requirements.
  • Processes and accounts for through agency coordination the in coming and outgoing federal property assignment.
  • Monitors and maintains tracking and accountability of all Rapid Fielding Initiatives within the state or unit of assignment.
  • Coordinates with Force Integration Readiness Officer and establishes a suspense file for equipment authorizations awaiting MTOE/TDA/CTA changes.
  • Works with units assigned in dealing with distribution and redistribution of Equipment and Assets.
  • Performs Quarterly Equipment on hand analysis by unit identification code (UIC) to improve equipment accountability to ensure all UIC units are validated on.
  • Validates state asset visibility and accountability of federal assets using PBUSE.
  • Provides expertise, recommendations and training directly to Property Book Officers, Supply Personnel or Unit Personnel for property accountability procedures.
  • Reviews, validates and establishes accountability for mobilizing units and organizations.
  • Performs a wide range of supply actions to accomplish required duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Army National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training, in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; and experience using computer and automation systems. GS-07 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 12 months of specialized experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts; and performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. GS-06 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 9 months of specialized experience, education, or training which demonstrates knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. The specialized experience must also demonstrate your ability to conduct searches for required information; reconstruct records for routine supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; and perform routine aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. GS-05 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 6 months of specialized experience that demonstrates knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions of a supply system; experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more automated supply databases to enter and retrieve recurring reports; and working knowledge of the structure of a supply organization and the organizations serviced. This position will may be filled at the GS-05 or GS-06, trainee grade, or the target grade of GS-07. An applicant who is selected at the trainee grade will have potential for promotion to the target grade without further competition. Promotion to the target grade level will be made after qualifications and eligibility requirements have been met and the incumbent is performing at the higher level in a satisfactory manner.

Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience at the GS-05 grade level only. If you are using Education to qualify for this position at the GS-05 grade level, you must possess 3 academic years of education in an accredited college or university and at least 90 semester hours of study. You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position. How You Will Be Evaluated
