POSITION DETAILS
The Graduate Center (GC) is the focal point for advanced teaching and research at the City University of New York (CUNY), the nation's largest urban public university. With over 35 doctoral and master’s programs of the highest caliber, the Graduate Center fosters pioneering research and scholarship in the arts and sciences and prepares students for careers in universities and the private, nonprofit, and government sectors. The Office of Human Resources (OHR) supports a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive employee community at the Graduate Center and at its affiliated CUNY colleges and professional schools, which include Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, Macaulay Honors College and School of Labor and Urban Studies. Our comprehensive services include employee and labor relations, talent management, professional development, payroll and time and leave, benefits and wellness, compliance with emphasis on quality, effective and sustainable HR solutions.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, the HR Operations Analyst duties include but are not limited to:

Utilize HRIS and/or other data resources to run queries and generate reports for data analysis (e.g. trends, predictors, etc.) to support planning and decision making

Utilize appropriate applications to prepare and/or modify reports incorporating various data sources; conduct needs assessments for report customization

Maintain files/records in appropriate formats (e.g. physical, and electronic), and in compliance with record retention policy and/or appropriate rules/regs; establish and maintain records management protocol/system; consult, update and/or modify as needed

Develop/prepare and administer surveys, dashboards, progress reports (e.g. exit interviews, employee satisfaction, compliance training trackers) via Modern Think, Qualtrics and/or other systems/applications; aggregate and report data; present findings in appropriate formats

Partner with Office of Human Resources (OHR) personnel to assess workflows, operational gaps and opportunities for improvement; collaborate on projects to improve operations; develop Standard Operations Procedures (SOP), maintain and update SOPs accordingly

Facilitate the maintenance and use of OHR’s listservs; support access control (e.g. granting and removing permissions); collaborate with appropriate departments (e.g. IT, Communications and Marketing) to continuously improve listservs; support and/or facilitate OHR’s communications

Provide support in maintaining OHR’s website, electronic display boards; provide technical support to OHR personnel in partnership with IT

Maintain OHR’s Teams environment to ensure accurate records and optimum functionality, support access control

Assist with the planning, implementation and monitoring of projects

Prepare and generate Personnel Action Reports (PARs) to inform appropriate units and/or departments of personnel actions, and to initiate actions; make entries in HRIS and conduct audits in HRIS as needed

Perform other duties as assigned
All full-time and part-time CUNY staff are expected to work in-person 80% of their work time. This hybrid work schedule is subject to change.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with data analytics and data management
-
Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) - specifically CUNYFirst
-
Strong Microsoft Office suite skills - particularly Excel

Previous experience with project management

Responds to requests for information; troubleshoots issues, follows up and responds to employee inquiries

Assists HR managers with employee communications of all kinds; may prepare materials, conduct orientation sessions, or update web pages

Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$54,261-$65,208/year. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
