Description

Position Summary

The Consulting Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and assisting with financial reporting. This role works closely with internal departments to ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.

  • Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations.

  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.

  • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.

  • Analyze financial data and investigate account discrepancies.

  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation.

  • Review and reconcile intercompany transactions.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

1+ years of general accounting experience.

Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivots and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
