Job Description: The Senior Accountant serves as a strategic finance partner to the Information Technology organization and is responsible for supporting the financial planning, reporting, procurement, and vendor payment functions for technology spend. This individual ensures technology budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting are accurate and timely. The Senior Accountant develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal departments and external vendors.
What You'll Do:

Supports the annual technology spend forecasting process by partnering with IT leadership to develop operating and capital budgets.

Prepares monthly technology financial reports, including actual spend and forecast-to-actual variance analysis.

Creates and manages purchase orders for technology-related goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and approved budgets.

Supports and provides guidance to team members responsible for invoice entry and vendor inquiries, helping resolve issues.

Serves as an accounting partner IT leadership, overseeing technology spend and providing guidance on budgets, accounting treatment, purchase orders, financial reporting, and forecast updates to support informed business decisions.

Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal departments, including Information Technology, Legal, Special Projects, Accounts Payable, and Financial Accounting.

Manages and delegates ad-hoc reports/assignments as needed.
What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University with a degree in accounting

CPA preferred
-
3-5 years accounting experience; supervisory experience a plus

Strong understanding and working knowledge of US GAAP

Advanced experience using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

Responsibilities:
- Supervises and assists the daily work of team members including: analyzing, researching, and preparing financial information to meet specific daily and monthly deadlines.
- Reviews team members’ invoice coding, journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and month-end schedules.
- Ensures the accuracy and timely completion of all team financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist team members with cost centers, accounts and budget sets-up, reviews proposed additions to budgets.
- Manages and delegates ad-hoc reports/assignments as needed.
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with internal departments; including but not limited to Legal, Human Resources, and Marketing.
- Helps to professionally develop all staff accountants.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of department wide plans, goals and deadlines.
- Oversees the close process.
