Marana Detention Center | Marana, AZ
$21.24 per hour | Full-time
Use your expertise to oversee the religious programs of the facility in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives.

What you will do
-
Create and manage all religious programs of the facility.
-
Serve as the point of contact for all outside religious activities, people or groups requesting admittance to the facility.

Coordinate religious volunteers and provide volunteers with schedules.
-
Conduct religious services and religious education programs and schedule periodic special programs.

Provide regular chaplaincy visitation rounds to new and existing detainees and detainees who are critically ill.

Counsel detainees on religious problems, personal issues, crisis intervention, grief and institutional adjustment.

Interact with detainees during their daily activities (e.g., dining, recreation, work and while in detention or disciplinary isolation) as often as possible to provide moral and religious instruction.

Required to make regular rounds of the facility which requires long periods of walking and standing.

Regular and predictable onsite attendance is required.

Required to respond to emergencies requiring the assistance of the chaplain.
What you will need

High school diploma or GED
-
Accreditation as a minister or religious leader
-
Two years of related experience
-
US citizenship or lawful US permanent resident

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Must successfully complete required preservice training post-hire
