As a Specialty Clinical Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations related to nursing and related medical support staff in line with clinical practice standards and patient-centered care. You will report to a Manager, Clinic/Center Administration.

This is an onsite role working in The Villages, Florida.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ongoing supervision of clinical team members in the Care Center, ensuring all staff work according to the principles of patient-centeredness and mutual respect with colleagues and coworkers.

  • Maintains clinical staff payroll, overtime, PTO schedules for clinical and medical staff, and staff work schedules.

  • Oversees clinical nursing care, ensuring compliance with established regulations and standards, including quality assurance, confidentiality, and medical records requirements.

  • Provides discipline for assigned staff in collaboration with the Human Resources Department and maintains documentation in staff records.

  • Provides direct supervision to nurses and clinical staff, ensuring appropriate assessment and treatment of patient health.

  • Serves as a key problem-solving resource to staff on patient issues.

  • Studies patient needs and trends and suggests solutions to ongoing patient care problems.

  • Ensures the performance and productivity of all nursing staff are evaluated regularly throughout the year and annually.

  • Advises on appropriate corrective actions and development opportunities for supervised staff.

  • Facilitates resolution of complaints, concerns, and problems of supervised employees regarding work assignments, hours of work, overtime scheduling, and other work-related matters.

  • Maintains OSHA and MSDS compliance and updates manuals annually and as needed.

  • Acts as OSHA Compliance Officer within the assigned Care Center.

  • Maintains biologic monitoring records and X-ray and DXA machine inspection records.

  • Maintains AHCA records of chart reviews for Medical Director and coder sign-off for inspections.

  • Maintains employee Hepatitis B and PPD records and updates PPD annually.

  • Oversees inventory counts by delegating team members to complete inventory in each specialty area.

  • Orders medical supplies for all specialties.

  • Maintains a high quality of care by nursing staff through continuous improvement of procedures, protocols, and standards.

  • Ensures all staff are trained in quality assurance and control requirements and meet these standards.

  • Collaborates with the Chief Medical Officer, Clinical Manager, and Care Center Leadership on the development and implementation of the nursing department's mission, goals, policies, procedures, budget, quality assurance plan, and work standards.

  • Communicates with team members in clinical and clerical areas to support a successful patient-centered practice.

  • Participates in capital budgeting and may be required to produce a cost-benefit analysis to justify requested equipment.

  • Maintains therapeutic injectable medication ordering and projects needs to ensure consistent supply availability.

  • Participates in multi-specialty practice building and planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license OR an active and unrestricted LPN license in the state of Florida.

  • 3+ years of experience working in a specialty care center or related setting.

  • CPR/BLS Healthcare Provider Certification within 90 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Athena

  • Prior experience in a Cardiology or Interventional Pain Management settings

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience

TB Statement:

This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$65,000 - $88,600 per year
