Departmental Analyst 9-P11 (E Level) This position will be responsible for all gross adjustments (over $5 Billion annually) that are processed and paid through the Community Health Automated Medicaid Processing System (CHAMPS) for the Health Services Administration. CHAMPS is an on-line processing system that medical providers submit billing and reimbursement for services provided through the healthcare programs administered by the Health Services Administration (HSA) within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). This position encompasses monitoring and researching gross adjustments in the system for both Managed Care Payments and Fee for Service sub-systems. Duties will also include entering account code rules into CHAMPS for payments to process, ensuring correct coding in the accounting system; and serving as the backup IT liaison for HSA.

E-Level PD

Departmental Analyst 12 (A level) As the Gross Adjustment Expert, this position serves as the recognized resource responsible for reviewing and monitoring all gross adjustments (over $5 Billion annually) that are processed and paid through the Community Health Automated Medicaid Processing System (CHAMPS) for the Behavioral and Physical Health and Aging Services Administration (BPHASA) within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). This position is the only position within the state that is responsible for gross adjustments for both the Managed Care and Fee for Service sub-systems within CHAMPS. As the only position responsible for both sub-systems, this position serves as the go-to contact for any Gross Adjustment related inquiries. Duties also include entering account code rules into CHAMPS for payments to process, ensuring correct coding in the accounting system; and serving as backup for other duties within the Financial and Administrative Services Section within BPHASA.

Experience

Departmental Analyst 9 No specific type or amount is required.

Departmental Analyst 10 One year of professional experience.

Departmental Analyst P11 Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

Departmental Analyst 12 Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.This position is being posted at the 9-12 levels. The selected candidate will be hired at the level they qualify for. The physical location of this position is 400 S Pine Street, Lansing, MI. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely and must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:• A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.

• A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
• Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
